Jamie Chung opens up about how difficult the pandemic was for her mental and physical wellbeing. The Asian-American actress recalls “holding onto community” as a priority, which she says became even more necessary with the rise of anti-Asian violence. Chung says she took to social media to encourage Asian-Americans to “take up space [and] be unapologetic” for their safety.
Chung similarly used her platforms to bring awareness to cancer in pets. She partnered with PetCo to raise money for the cause and credits her dog, Ewok, for helping with her anxiety and depression. She says, “Cancer is the #1 disease-related threat to pets, so let’s do our part to help prevent our loving furry family members from becoming pet cancer statistics.”
