Veronica Beard celebrated the 10th anniversary of their brand with a runway show that felt just like a birthday party.
Guests entered the New York City venue Monday (10 FEB. 2020) and were greeted by an intricate balloon arch featuring a huge gold ‘V’ balloon (for Veronica) and a huge gold ‘B’ balloon (for Beard). Cocktail waiters passed out champagne and the music blasted upbeat tracks.
Among the celebrities in attendance, Jamie Chung, Bailee Madison, Padma Lakshmi and Jenna Bush Hager.
“I love their clothes, I love them. They are such powerhouses and I like sisters that work together,” Hager said referencing the connection between the two designers who together make up the brand.
Veronica Swanson Beard and Veronica Miele Beard are sister-in-laws, married to brothers, who both shared a love of fashion and created their company 10 years ago.
In the show’s note, the designers wrote: “We think about your 9 to 5, your morning to midnight, all the different ways you live your life.”
And the collection featured just that. Various blazers in different plaids, patterns and textures styled over jeans, dresses or leather pants creating transitional looks. There were flowy silk dresses and jumpsuits and jeans with a silver fringe detail down the leg.
Confetti burst all over the room as the designers took their celebratory walk down the runway at the end of the show.
